Meet the 2024 Counselors!

  • Sam Cassidy

    Co-Director

Sam was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard, where she became involved in performing arts both in school and in afterschool programs from a young age. She continued to pursue her passion for the arts as a student at MVRHS, participating in numerous productions. Graduating with a degree in musical theater from Rider University, she performed in several main-stage and student-run productions. Since college, she has remained active in the performing arts, working as an actor at Cedar Point and appearing in productions such as Twelfth Night at the Tisbury Amphitheatre with the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse. Now back on the Island, she is teaching in programs similar to those that influenced her during her upbringing.

  • Chris Roberts

    Co-Director

Chris Roberts is a SPED teacher at the high school, and coaches middle school girls basketball for West Tisbury and MV Travel. Chris wears his improv comedy hat, Shakespeare hat, Chekhov hat, well any kind of acting hat whenever possible. Chris has a BFA from SMU, and graduated with an MFA in acting from Columbia. He has performed at several international theater festivals, in NYC, and regionally where he honed the juggling and joke-telling skills that so impressed his wife. One of his favorite roles is Dad to a freshman at Emerson, an 8th grader, a scruffy dog, and six chickens. Good thing he likes eggs.
